Stella Maxi

This is my fifth francisandbenedict maxi skirt. I saw the first at a street market at Charleston, SC while on vacation. I tried it on and purchased on the street!
I am ALWAYS stopped when wearing one of your skirts and told how stunning I look and how beautiful the skirt is. I am a woman of a certain age, and I feel beautiful in your skirts. The wax cloth is substantial and vibrant, the fullness of the skirt with the pockets is stunning on any body shape because of the high waist. I have been wearing my skirts with a stiff belt as wide as the waist band, this helps to enhance the figure. I wear my skirts casually or to formal events, anywhere! I have found the skirts have so many beautiful color patterns, they are easy to match with a simple, plain colored top. I am also delighted to know which of your fabulous sewists made my garment, and their stories. I always share the francisandbenedict story, and those of the sewists when anyone comments on the skirts. I am so delighted to learn you will be providing housing for these most deserving and talented people. I love doing business with organizations that give back and help provide opportunities for their employees to live a better life! Kudos to all.

This skirt is absolutely beautiful; it can be worn anywhere. The fabric is substantial, the colors are vibrant, and the workmanship is outstanding. The fit is slightly tighter than a usual small, but since every item is handmade the fit may vary somewhat . The pockets are a great feature; they’re deep enough for a cell phone and the folds in the skirt hide whatever is placed in them. I had the skirt shortened to tea length to make it even more versatile; flat sandals or heels will pair nicely. My only minor complaint is that I’m having difficulty finding a top in a color besides white that will go with this-the brown is very very dark, and my skin tone doesn’t look good in tan or beige. All in all, this was a fabulous buy!

The skirt is prettier in person!!! The pattern is show-stopping perfect! Soft fabric. Fits true to size.
